Quarantined?
How do I get back to school faster?

Under rules from IDPH students that become a close contact may not have to quarantine.
If you are unvaccinated and have no symptoms you can choose to be Covid tested. Parents will need to sign the Student COVID-19 Testing Consent Form. The school nursing office will test students that choose to take this step in order to stay at school on days 1, 3, 5, and 7 after they have been determined to be contacts. As long as you test negative you can remain in school and continue to participate in all activities with no quarantine.
If you are vaccinated and have no symptoms you do not have to quarantine even if you are considered a contact, unless you demonstrate symptoms.
You can download the consent form for Covid testing at this link (www.viennahs.com/covid) and return it to the nursing office in person and or email it to sheriessmith@viennahighschool.com.
Those students who are temporarily quarantined and are not eligible for one of the above options or opt not to test will need to continue with school via remote learning. Students that are out on temporary quarantine will be responsible for contacting each of their teachers and should review the remote learning plan available at www.viennahs.com/covid.
For more information, you can contact the school nursing office at sheriessmith@viennahighschool.com or 618-658-4461.
