Vienna Ball Park Upgrades
Recently, the Vienna Ball Park underwent some needed upgrades supported by the community. These upgrades included renovations to fan seating, signage, trash cans, and the centerpiece of a new scoreboard.
Tina Penrod led and facilitated this project. "We are grateful that Mrs. Penrod took on leading these improvements and we are overwhelmed by the generosity of those that donated monetarily, expertise, and with time," said Joshua Stafford school superintendent.
Banterra Bank served as the headline donor by purchasing the scoreboard with a $16,500 donation.
Ryan Stafford Construction/Shawn Stafford, donated the work to build all the bleacher covers at both the baseball and softball fields valued at $8,000.
Modern Woodman of America/Aaron Hale, donated $5,000.

Jackson Hewitt/Bart Loyd $2,000.
Rusty's Home Center $2,000.

The City of Vienna employees and city council played a part in the new scoreboard installation. The city purchased the I beams and concrete for it to be installed and did all the work with electrical help from Scott Wright. They also provided new gravel to go around the bleachers and dugouts at both the baseball and softball fields.
Vienna High School students helped as well. Instructor Wade Stewart and construction class students worked on the bleacher seat boards. Instructor Jason West and the agriculture students are in the process of refurbishing the metal trash cans for all of the ball fields. Vienna board of education purchased the Vienna Eagles logo signage for the top of the scoreboard.
"It's great to see this community come together to make Vienna even better than it already is. If you see any of the above folks, please give them a pat on the back for a job well done," said Tina Gulley Penrod.
