Projects/Fundraisers
Now
If you wish to
sell the flower cards for $10 each to just family members, not earning any
profit from the sell at all, then each flower card you sell will earn you 1 hour
of service time.
January 6 – January 20
We are collecting toiletries for Autumn Ridge
Assisted Living Center. You may bring in full size bottles or hotel bottles of
shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. You will receive 1 hour for each 4 full
sized items or 1 hour for each 8 hotel sized items.
January
I need some a couple of students who can make
bunny ear headbands for my Vienna Grade School Beta candidate skit. If you are
a crafty person, this might be the job for you. REBEKKAH WALLER AND ELIZABETH
KORB have signed up to do these.
January
I need someone to come in during lunch and
store around 30 phone numbers in my Voyager phone. These are the numbers of my
Junior Beta members at VGS. I need these put into my phone by January 29th.
January/February
I need someone to alphabetize the certificates
for our induction program. This can be done during lunch in a quick 15 minutes.
Prior to February 4th
Flyers for the 80s themed Valentine’s Dance.
February
I need Box Tops counted and bagged by 50.
These can be taken home with you to do.
Late-February
I will need someone to copy and fold the
programs for induction.
Late-February/March
I will need someone to make posters for
Maggie’s skit. Whoever does this should know how to use a computer and be able
to design this. The posters will have to fit a certain size, and I will give
this information to whoever wants to work on these. Whoever does this can work
on his/her own schedule.
We will need boxes spray painted
for Maggie’s skit. This will need to be done after school, outside.
We will need people to work on the backdrop for
Maggie’s skit. This could involve painting. This will be done after school.
We will need a backdrop for talent. This could
involve painting. This will be done after school.
February 12
Valentine’s 80s themed dance. We will need
parents to chaperone. The dance starts after the basketball game, and will end
at 12 midnight. If your parent(s) chaperone, they will earn service hours for
you.
February/March
Make hand-crafted notecards to give as
coordinators’ gifts at Senior Beta Club Convention. This will have to be done
after school with Mrs. Bradley. If you are interested, sign up.
March
Store Senior Beta phone numbers in Mrs.
Bradley’s and Mrs. Will-Henn’s phones. This will have to be done during lunch.

TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Each
Box Top you turn in represents 10 cents for our club. PLEASE ask your parents
to clip these from the variety of products on which they can be found AND then
bring them to us.
Fundraisers
We have a few extra cookbooks. They sell for $10 each and
your profit is $6.
We still have This n That Flower Cards to sell. They sell
for $20 each and your profit is $10 from each sell.
Other
- Beta Boosters meeting at 5:30 in Media Center on
Monday, January 25.
- Talent practice on Monday, January 25 from 3-5.
State Convention
We are going to attend state convention on
March 22-23. As of now, you need to plan on convention costs running around $64
a person and that does not include your food. Money for convention is due on
January 28. You will receive a final amount of cost on January 19th
based on who signs up for convention.
